Rob van Gils is the CEO and Managing Partner of HAI Group. HAI is one of the biggest family owned businesses within the European Aluminium Industry. Operating out of 8 locations, two in Romania, four in Germany, one in Poland and headquartered in Ranshofen, Austria. HAI is a well-known brand in aluminium extrusions and billets. After taking over responsibility as Group CEO Rob has significantly changed the portfolio of HAI group over the last years. Supported by consequent investments in back- and forward integration HAI today covers the whole value chain from recycling, billet production, extrusions and aluminium components for Building and Constuction, Industrial Applications and Transportation Industry. Rob is also very active as a representative of the Aluminium Industry. On European level in his role as a Member of the Executive Committee of the European Aluminium Association where he is also Chairman of the Extrusion Division. On national level Rob is an Official of the non-ferrous committee with the Austrian Economic Chamber WKO and President of the Aluminium Deutschland (AD) as well as Vice President of Wirtschaftsvereinigung Metalle (WVM). Rob brings to his position a well-established background in mechanical engineering and business administration resulting in 20 years of experience in the aluminium industry.
