Markus Ekberg has 40 years of international experience with design and project management of mainly underground mines in Finland, Norway, Ireland, and Australia. Markus has extensive experience with base metals (copper, zinc and nickel) as well as gold and chromium mining. Markus was the Chief Executive Officer of the Nasdaq listed gold mining company Endomines AB during 2009-2017 and is currently on the board.

Since 2017 Markus has been actively developing and promoting Hautalampi cobalt- nickel-copper mine project in eastern Finland. His role as a co-owner and managing director of the company has been new process options evaluation and project financing. Markus is a Qualified Person according to the Australian JORC and Canadian NI 43-101 stock exchange codes. Markus is also a Eurogeologist and holds MSc in Geology and Mineralogy, Turku University, Finland.
