Katherine is the Director of the Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) program, a globally recognized standard for sustainability in the mining sector. She supports the adoption and implementation of TSM by Mining Association of Canada members and other national mining associations. She joined MAC in 2019 from Natural Resources Canada, where she worked with Latin American governments to promote sustainable mining practices and advised on North American trade negotiations. She was also responsible for Canada’s initial involvement in international dialogues on critical minerals trade and investment. Previously, Katherine worked in other sectors in Taiwan, Sri Lanka, and Belgium. She holds an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
