Julie Hollis is Secretary General of EuroGeoSurveys, a not-for-profit association representing the Geological Surveys of Europe. EuroGeoSurveys bridges the geoscience–policy gap at European level, delivering expert scientific data and advice to support the green transition, and building strategic partnerships within Europe and with international partners, particularly in Africa and Latin America. Julie has a PhD in Geology, a Master of Science Communication and Public Engagement, and more than 20-years experience in research and senior management roles in geological survey organisations and related ministries in Australia, Denmark, and Greenland.
